Destination Disney: Resort Review...Disney's Fort Wilderness

Have you ever gone into a deep stupor wondering where to stay on your Disney Dream Vacation at Walt Disney World? Which resort will be the best fit for you and your family? Which resort will provide the biggest bang for your buck?
In answer to your questions, as well as my own, I decided to do a little walkabout the Walt Disney World Resorts in order to discover the magic for myself.
The first resort under observation is Walt Disney World's Fort Wilderness.

The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort - $43-$148 per night (depending on season and   campsite location)

The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort - $325-$541 (depending on season)

Fort Wilderness is the largest of Walt Disney World's Resort areas. Walking is an option, but there are other transportation options.
Disney provides complimentary buses that will take to different areas of Fort Wilderness as well as to the Disney Parks.
The directory above shows the bus routes that are available within the resort. Directories can be found at every bus stop in order to help you get to your final destination.
Buses are just one way of getting around the Fort Wilderness Resort Area. Some people chose to bring bikes for transportation purposes. Others chose to rent bikes at the Bike Barn. Bikes are a good option because they fit into personal schedules.
Buses and Bikes are effective means of transport, but electric carts seem to be the most popular means of getting around.
Disney offers electric cart rentals just inside the Fort Wilderness Resort's entry gates.
The carts are a standard model that seats up to four adults.
Quite a few visitors bring their own carts.
Many people add a little touch of Disney to their vehicles.
A few Disney diehards go all out.
Whatever cart style you choose to drive, the resort is set up with passenger drop off areas, special paths, and mini parking lots all designed to accommodate. Now you just have to decide on the final destination.
Swimming? Which pool?
Playground?

Games?

 Boating?
Fishing?
Sing-a-long?
Movie?
Hungry?
Disney World restaurants, at first glance, carry a hefty price tag. But upon closer review they offer the best of Food, Folks, and Disney Fun!
The Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue

The food is always appetizing in presentation as well as taste.
The Entertainment is always professionally executed.

Trail's End Restaurant

The restaurant cast members can not be beat for helpfulness as well as friendliness.

Mickey's Backyard BBQ

Do you see a Hidden Mickey?

Take time to visit TRI-CIRCLE-D Ranch and TRI-CIRCLE-D Farm.

When you decide you are ready to leave The Fort Wilderness Resort, you could always visit the Disney World Parks. All parks can be reached by bus...

...except the Magic Kingdom. Magic Kingdom can be reach by boats.
Or, you could always just go shopping. (wink, wink)
