Peter Pan's Flight is an original, a 1955 original to be exact. Peter Pan's Flight is one of the few remaining original rides of Disneyland. But unlike the 1955 version of the ride, today's Disneyland Peter Pan's Flight actually includes the figure of Peter Pan. In the beginning, Peter Pan was not included in the ride because Disneyland Guests were to play the role of Peter. This turned out to be confusing, so when the Walt Disney World version of the ride opened, it contained Peter himself. In 1983, Disneyland did a major overhaul of Fantasyland, which included the addition of Peter Pan to Peter Pan's Flight.
Peter Pan's Flight has become one of the rides for which people will wait, sometimes for hours. Every Disney Resort includes a version of this ride and it looks like that will not change with the opening of Shanghai Disneyland in 2016.
